I just updated my Ubuntu desktop to Kubuntu 9.04 and KDE 4.3.2.
1. I am intermediate basic user and can enter pre-constructed commands in a terminal window and perform basic searches.
2. I am fairly comfortable with most any UI/Desktop with minimal experience.
3. I need help and I hope this is the right forum.
Issue:
-I found this great 3D clock widget from Karamba in the Add widget menu.
-I added it and it looked GREAT on the desktop.
-I shut down my IBM X31 laptop and re-started.
---The Karamba 3D Clock did not start. It mysteriously disappeared actually.
Attempts to resolve:
-I re-installed SuperKaramba packages along with a few other plasma widgets of interest. et al.
-I tried going back to the widget menu to re-add the 3D Clock, but no Karamba choices at all. The Karamba selections were gone.
-Refusing defeat, I searched on-line and found the same widget at kde-look.org and downloaded to my desktop. (The file is a .skz) I then tried to load locally with no success.
Any ideas or direction would be great.
Thanks.
