Kubuntu 9.04 doesn't recognize USB Modem Speed Up SU 8300u

Dear All,

It become my 1 year frustration. I bought a USB modem Speed Up SU 8300u. It worked fine in Kubuntu 8.04 using LCMC from Ziddu.Net. Now, after I upgrade to Kubuntu 9.04, my modem only recognize as a mass storage.

I've tried to use modeswitch to change from mass storage into USB modem...and the procedure looks ok. My USB is recognize as brand new device candidate to USB Modem as shown below when I lsusb it in terminal:

But That's it...when I try to wvdial it just doesn't detected...

Help me please. I need mobile broadband to work. And Why Kubuntu 9.04 doesn't support LCMC so my USB Modem Speed Up Su 8300u can work finely. I can't go back to Kubuntu 8.04...It's ridiculous, I kind of in love with this kubuntu 9.04

Have you tried if there is anything to activate in Hardware Drivers?

yes I've checked it. but nothing about modem, only about nvidia.

It is for 8.10, you have noted that you were previously running 8.04, so this might work for you.

I've tried that procedure...actually twice in every single steps. But when wvdial...still can't find device .

does anybody here know where to find LCMC that works on Kubuntu 9.04? I find LCMC specifically for 8.04 only. It will solve my problem at last. ??
