Ktorrent 3.2.4

Hi, i was searching and i found out in that link http://ktorrent.org/?q=downloads that there is a stable version of ktorrent. 3.2.4. In 3.2.1 there is a problem with the tracker status, that is fixed on version 3.2.2 and above. So my question is how to get 3.2.4 from the repositories, 'cause i am "afraid" to compile the tar.bz2 file (the reason is that in my previous compile of the new version of deluge, there was a problem when tried to unistall it -i used the information within the readme file- i can't seem to remove the icon from Application->Internet).

Hi, are you running the latest KDE? (4.3.2). That is available, and I wonder what version of ktorrent it is running (I can check tonight)

ktorrent 3.2.4+dfsg.1 is the curent default ktorrent in Kubuntu KK and can be had from
the repos with no nead to compile enething 8)

this is a karmic package though so I dont know how it will do for you if your runing jaunty.

but if you'ved uped to KDE4.3.2 allreadey it may be good or uping to KDE4.3.2 may pull it in I dont know.

I am using KDE 4.3.2 and ktorrent is 3.2.1

I agree with VINNY, it's worth a shot to try to get the ktorrent from karmic, it might just work if you have kde 4.3.2 in Jaunty ...

I added this line in Software Sources "deb http://gr.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu karmic main" and then i run Synaptic Package Manager and when i wrote in "Search" Ktorrent, showed up the right files with a star. I choose "Mark for upgrade" and hit "Apply". I waited a little, and with some errors mention at the end, the update was successfully installed.

Well, you are welcome. Make sure you comment out the Karmic repo before you forget, or you'll start getting a mess of mixed packages
