I recently upgraded to 9.04 and things are very different. One of the big ones is, when you minimize a file, it just goes away (as opposed to in the lower tool bar, where you can go to bring it back) Is there someplace else I should look? Also, it came with a new version of Open office writer, which doesn't seem to let you NAME your files when you save them or RENAME them after the program designates a generic title. Am I just being a fuddy duddy, or is this full of bugs?

Click on the Cashew and scroll down to Task Manager, click on it and then click Add Widget. You can also right-click on the Panel and choose Panel Options > Add Widgets... and do the same.Windows no longer obstructs my view.
Using Kubuntu Linux since March 23, 2007.

Re: Where do minimized things go?
"Cashew?" You mean like the nut? How do I click on a nut? Just where are the "panel options"? And when I get to Widgets, what clever name do they have for the tool bar where the minimized things used to go? My Dictionary of American Slang defines Widget as "Any useless device attached to an automobile, to a garment, or the like, in order to cause a change in style."
