    How to pl;ay .wav files

I seem to remember that .wav files played under Linux and Kubuntu, but I could be mistaken.

Received a .wav file and the system opened Totem to play it, but totem displays a message that an Advanced Streaming Demuxer plugin is needed and not installed.

    Where do I get one?

The Totem plugin's list didn't list anything anything remotely applicable.

I tried the procedure described and got the message:

So maybe the procedure needs updating?

Yes, the current package is libk3b6-extracodecs.
