Which Desktop

Using 9.04 with the compiz effects enabled.
I've done a search but have not found an answer to this.
I'm using 4 desktops.
Is there a way to display the desktop number that I'm using when I change to a new desktop?

Mmm. The cube certainly shows you that, have you tried it?

Yes I have and knew that when using the cube. Thought I could get the same feature from within KDE when changing to a new desktop. Is this possible?

I see, I think it would be useful, but as far as _I_ know it is not possible. Anybody else?

if you have the desktop pager widget you can set it to display desktop # or name.

Yes, good idea, but that's on the widget, not on a visible way on the desktop itself, which seems to be what mpierce is looking for.
