Hi! My latest problem-nobody-else-ever-had: the "7" key goes quiet once KDE loads.
The details:
1. I can still type "7" at the KDM welcome screen.
2. I can still type "7" in the ttys.
3. I can still type "7" in Fluxbox and, presumably, other window managers and desktop enviroments.
4. I can still type "7" using the number pad.
5. I can still use the shifted, non-number-pad "7" key in KDE (= "&", with the US layout).
6. AltGr+7 has gone quiet, too.
7. GTK apps are affected, too, if running in KDE.
8. I've renamed .Xmodmap so it can't interfere.
9. I couldn't find any hotkey assigned to "7".
10. Keyboard model: I tried Logitech Access Keyboard, evdev-managed keyboard, Generic 105-key (Intl) PC, and nothing (nothing = keyboard layouts deactivated in System Settings). I'm not sure what difference (if any) it makes.
Any ideas? It's sort of annoying...
