No Sound After Updates (SOLVED)

I applied the latest available updates yesterday and since then have had no sound. I tried changing speaking and can get sound in Windows so I assume there must be a connection to the updates.
Any suggestions as to how I could fix this?

Just saw the 'mixer' settings were all set to mute.
