    Screensavers

    I have loaded a bunch of screen savers in this directory:

    usr->share->kde4->services->ScreenSavers

    ...folder, but only the default of Blank and Random show up as choices. I used the apt-get install xscreensaver and kscreensaver... install method.

    This is a clean install of 9.04 .

    What can I do to make the files display in the Systems Settings?

    thanks

    This worked for me in Kubuntu 8.10.

    I'm not saying you did it wrong, but I'd like to know more about the files you downloaded and why you chose to put them in that location.

      I installed them the same you did on that supplied link:

      sudo apt-get install kscreensaver

      ...and that is where I found them. Were they installed in the wrong location?

      thanks!

        That is the location my screen savers are saved to. I like to often change my screen savers so I have several packages installed...... kscreensaver kscreensaver-xsavers kscreensaver-xsavers-extra xscreensaver xscreensaver-data xscreensaver-gl xscreensaver-gl-extra xscreensaver-data-extra
