    Is there an rc.shutdown?

    Hi All,

Does Kubuntu have an rc.shutdown or do I have to write my own?

    Many thanks,

No, it does not. What are you wanting to accomplish?
Windows no longer obstructs my view.
Using Kubuntu Linux since March 23, 2007.

I want to run an automatic backup routine of my customers "Desktop", "Documents", .mozilla-thunderbird, and .firefox directories. I have have written a shutdown script for CentOS 5.3, so I will modify it. I am going to post for evaluation shortly in another thread.

Thank you for the prompt answer. Would you mind looking for my new post to hit shortly?

I'm not a script guru by any stretch of the imagination, so I wouldn't be able to comment. There are those here that can though, so ...

I thought the shutdown sequence was in /etc/rc6.d. These rc folders contain symbolic links. I don't know how to write the script, but you should be able to create a symbolic link to it in the rc6.d folder once you have it working. And I could be completely wrong.

Correction. rc0.d is shutdowm, rc6.d is restart..
