    Problem with turning off and restarting my computer

    hi guys

    i have a problem with turning off and restarting my computer , when I click on shutdown or restart botton I don't have any action from my kubuntu and do nothing !

    also when I turn off or restart with "sudo poweroff" , "sudo halt" , "sudo shutdown"& "sudo reboot" with all [options] for next time all of my config lost and I have a clear session....

    is there any solution for slove this problem ?

    ( Im Using Kubuntu 9.04 with KDE 4.3.1 )

    I don't know if it helps, but you can try to install shutdown widget.
    Kubuntu 16.04 on two computers and Kubuntu 17.04 on DELL Latitude 13

      Take a look at kmenu/system settings/advanced and have a look at session manager and power manager to check if there is anything obviously set wrong.

      What version of KDE are you running? If you are not running KDE 4.3 I recommend you upgrade to it now as it fixes quite a few bugs, one of which concerned KDM .
