    chinese input?

    i tried to install chinese input (PinYin) for my kubuntu 9.04. had it enabled under Regional & Language > Keyboard Layout but there are no options under Layout Variant to select PinYin, only Default, Tibetan n Tibetan (with ASCII numerals) when i select china. did i miss out anything?

    I guess nobody here (me included) knows how to do that. I'm curious, did you figure it out yet?

        i managed to get the SKIM - SCIM KDE Frontend setup, but didn't know how to setup the switching to be only between English n PinYin. i can see pinyin in the Configuration, but not knowing how to trigger the language selection. so i guess it is a "no" to your question. hehe.
