    DesktopFolder Missing Trash can icon

    Hello,
Recently I lost a Trash can Icon from Desktop Folder on the Desktop. I am running Kubuntu 9.04 Jaunty Jacklope with all latest updates install.

Can any one help me to restore it back. Thanks in advance to all of you.

Hi. The trashcan is a widget. You can click on your cashew icon in the upper right corner and unlock them. Then click on add widget and scroll to the trashcan and add it. Don't forget to lock the widgets again.

Desktop Cashew. Click on Add Widgets... and install the Show Desktop widget.

          Thanks Snowhog,
I have tried that but unfortunately it didn't work! it just created a desktop icon on my desktop and can not even open it or do anything.

What i am trying to achieve is this:
on my desktop I had a Desktop folder on top left upper corner. this folder contains Home folder, Documents, Video and rest of the defaults. this Desktop folder is the one I have lost it and trying to restore it back.
I think you know what I am taking about. Thanks.

On the cashew, "unlock" widgets. Then "add widget" and choose "Folder View". This will put a folder on your screen, but it will not necessarily be the Desktop folder, it might be your home folder. So, first "lock widgets", then right-click the folder, choose "folder view settings" and in the dialog box, browse to your Desktop, and choose that. I think it comes with the trash can included -- mine did, the last time I added it.

              dibl,
Thanks for providing me solution and yes, it's not like Desktop folder but it created folder name Home and shows all other folders and files within it.

Once again Thanks to all who helped me. last question! how can I close this post as solved?

On your original post, click "Modify" and on the title, add "SOLVED" at the front.

                Thanks!
