    mousepad replacement

    Hi All,

I really love xfce's mousepad (a text editor that lets you save in CR+LF, if you please). Is there something similar in Kubuntu I could replace it with? I really do not feel like install Xfce just for that.

    Many thanks,

I don't know mousepad but I use ne which can save CR+LF.
    Code:
    sudo apt-get install ne
    Type ne filename to edit.
Use F1 for a dropdown menu.
... and you're good to go!
It can use different key bindings if you want another style.
Mostly it's pretty intuitive, but with the drop down menu there's
no way you can get lost anyway.

Kedit is the corresponding program for kde, but I don't know about the CR+LF.

        Hi Guys,

Thank you for the suggestions! I will check both them out. Now if I could only get apt-get to work, but that is on a new posting.
