    local repo of deb's?

    Hi All,

I have a customer with dial up.

On my copy, is there a way I can copy the .deb's I have installed (apt-get) to a stick to install on his machine? (I looked for a repo on my hard drive, but did not find one.)

    Many thanks,
    -T

If you have not performed any package clean up (apt-get clean and/or apt-get autoclean), then the downloaded packages are in:

    /var/cache/apt/archives/ and /var/cache/apt/archives/partial/
Windows no longer obstructs my view.
Using Kubuntu Linux since March 23, 2007.

      Cool. Thank you!

Just out of curiosity, where are all the ones from the update service?

When apt-get update is run, and then an apt-get upgrade or dist-upgrade is run, or when an apt-get install package_name is run, the packages are downloaded to the indicated locations.

I was looking for that huge 160 package update after you install raw 9.04. I wonder if the update did a clean up after it completed?
