No Knetwork manager after update

Hey all,
I updated to the new Kubuntu and it didn't install a network manager. Is it hidden? is this a common problem? can I download it onto my stick on windows and install it when I boot into linux.

I am dual boot XP, kubuntu sony labtop.

and how did you update?

the network manager should have instaled and no it's not hidden!!

but just in case rite click the cashu on the far rite of the panel (rite side of time and date)and click add widgets and find the network manager one and install it.......
