KPackage error

I am unable to run Kpackage manager. I get an error stating "A problem that we were not expecting has occurred." Message did not receive a reply (timeout by message bus)
Please report this bug with the error description.

I also tried using a terminal and had a similar problem

any ideas?

what exacyly was the prob in the terminal ? post the error.

Kpackage kit is a little off open a terminal and do

sudo apt-get update

then

sudo apt-get install synaptic

synaptic is a better (at the moment) package manager after it installes youle find it in Kickoff>applacations>system have fun

Yep, synaptic for package management and updates, and GDebi [gdebi-kde] for individual package installations.
