    Adobe flashplayer Permissions popup SOLVED

I've decided to use Linux again on my main machine. Its been a few years so please be gentle.
Its quite possible I'm missing something obvious...
    I have Kubuntu 9.04, Firefox 3.5.2, Adobe flashplayer 10
My laptop is a Sager 5600 (offbranded Alienware Area-51m)

So, when I try to enter the A/v webchat on a website, the regular popup asking permission to access cam/mic shows up. The chat loads up behind it, but then it just hangs there, not accepting any response. The chat goes on behind it, but i can't click yes/no or close the popup. What gives?
I also tried the same thing in Konqueror but the same thing happens, so I assume its not firefox itself.
    Please help?

I've never got that to work, fortunately you can store the settings for each website here:
