    Avatar trailer .mov at apple.com

    Can anybody watch this? → http://www.apple.com/trailers/fox/avatar/hd/

    When I right-click one of the buttons ("1080p", etc.) to save one of the linked-to .mov files, or when I use wget, I only get 92/93 byte files. When I left-click, nothing happens (Xine plugin) or the plugin pops up and the browser disappears.

    I had the same problem with those links. I found direct links on slashdot that worked to download the trailer.

    http://entertainment.slashdot.org/co...3&cid=29135197

    The links in that comment worked to download the trailer and then the trailer worked in dragon player.

    On a side note, I still can't tell what the movie is about.

      All HAil the mighty APPLE :P

      > No more Apple.com movie trailers for Linux users?

      Few picks:

      "defer":
      Just change the user agent.

      $ wget -U QuickTime/****youapple.0 http://movies.apple.com/movies/fox/a...tsr_h1080p.mov
      Download seems to work at here...

      "forgottend" :
      I took a quick look, and apple is just redirecting you if you don't have the correct user agent in your HTTP request.

      if you open this link in firefox, it will go to apple trailer section.

      http://movies.apple.com/movies/fox/a...tsr_h1080p.mov

      If you change your useragent to one that it will recognizer.

      QuickTime/7.6.2 (qtver=7.6.2;os=Windows NT 5.1Service Pack 3)

      bingo! video is downloaded by the browser and you can watch it.

      +++ lot of more...
      Before you edit, BACKUP !

      Why there are dead links ?

        Thanks. That very last one works - "familiar" user agent - tried it with wget. But I'm not going to lie and pretend I'm using Windows or a Mac now, so... whatever. I've seen the trailer on YouTube.
