    Two Users, Two Languages?

My girlfriend likes the look of Kubuntu but only speaks Portuguese.

Is it possible to set up a 'guest user' account on my PC and configure the language to Portuguese while keeping my 'admin' account in English?

    Thanks.

Yes, you can do that. I did it a couple releases ago. It wasn't flawless, in part because non-kde packages (such as Firefox) have to be configured individually. And I think even in KDE there was the place here or there still in English, but for the most thing this worked.

My recollection is a bit fussy, hopefully someone in the forum did it recently and can give more details. I think the basic steps were to install the internationalization KDE package for the second language, and then for that particular user go to System Settings and enable it. Again, hopefully someone else can be more specific

    Good luck!
