Hi everybody,
Yesterday I installed KDE 4.3 on Jaunty, using the Kubuntu Backports PPA, and it's working fine. However, I have some questions.
First, how does it impacts the ability of the system to upgrade itself to Karmic, when it gets released in October? I'm worried that I'll end up with lots of orphan packages that will need manual removal, or maybe the system will simple not be able to upgrade, and I'll have to reinstall from scratch.
Also, does the PPA installation leaves any orphan packages from 4.2? Because I've noticed an increase in disk usage after the installation. And why does it needs to install mysql?
Finally, is it safe to remove the wallpapers packages that were installed without breaking the system?
