Dear All,
questions that are somehow related:
1) why does GRUB not display at all on my laptop monitor (all black) if the VGA output is connected to another video (in this case a Full HD TV) even with the video turned off? If the video is on, I still cannot see GRUB there to be honest. Is it a problem of BIOS or of GRUB?
2) How do I set up the external TV to be at a certain resolution, refresh rate, position and so on? I know it is something related to the xorg.conf file, but if someone could guide me in how to modify it I would be grateful. Is it something I can turn on and off somehow via GUI interfaces for instance also while X is running?
thanks
matteo
