What video card do you have - manufacture and model?

Re: KDE desktop effects won't work

i dont know extactly what video card i have
but when i had ubuntu, all of the desktop effects worked fine, then i switched to fedora the desktop effects wouldnt work on there so i switched to kubuntu, they didnt work on there, and then when i switched back to ubuntu (just to see if it was a matter of what type of linux i had) it wouldn't work on there. i like KDE better than Gnome, so i just switched back to kubuntu to see if i could get it to work eventually.....(sounds crazy, i know...)

        Open a console and type:
        Code:
        lspci | grep Graphics
Copy and paste the output into your reply. This will tell us what Graphics Controller you have.
