someone plz help me

guys am very new to kubuntu
and i dnt knw anything abt it
well first of all i need to play mp3 files
someone plz explain in a "STUPID-PEOPLE-LANGUAGE"
the player is amarok and it recommended installing packages
i gave install,it told to restart the player
i did so and again it is asking to install packages
some one plz help this rookie

I'll explain in 'stupid people' speak.

Install libxine1-ffmpeg

Either do it through adept or on the command line :-

sudo apt-get install libxine1-ffmpeg

To be honest if you want things to just work you may be better off with ubuntu as that does help the newbie more.

install: kubuntu-restricted-extras

Connect to the internet, open a Terminal and input the command: sudo apt-get install kubuntu-restricted-extras
