Konqueror fails to connect when network manager connects to the wireless network

    Hi,

After finally fixing the wireless connectivity issue, Konqueror fails to show content (http://www.google.com) (the default) when I start the browser from another room.

Here is the thing, when i take the pc close to the wireless hub everything is fine, meaning i can browse the net easily, etc.

But when i take the pc next room (computer room), network manager connects fine as usual, but Konqueror cannot connect.

Would you please explain to me what's going on??

    Thanks in advance.

look at the network manager wile next to the rowter and see the signal strength.......now go to the other room and see if it's allmost gone.

Konqueror may be timing out if the signal strength is to low..........or in the next room you may be geting a diferent network.......if I go to the back of the house the nabors wirless signal is stronger than mine.

is your rowter on the flore try puting it up higher............it's just a transmiter so. if thares a lot of electrick wires around it or in the wall betwen the rooms you could be geting a lot of iterference.

Sure thanks, will try putting it higher in a min...by the way, when i'm near the router there is full signal and in the next room may be half strength.

is there anything i have to do on the config??

if it's conecting fine next to the router the 1/2 signall you get in the next room should be good??

just make shure it's your signal. an

        Code:
        iwlist scan
should shoe the AP and iwconfig should conferm.

        exampell

        vinny@Kubuntu:~$ iwlist scan

Re: Konqueror fails to connect when network manager connects to the wireless network

i did iwconfig, interestingly the speed is 54mbs, (i have dual boot win vista and kubuntu in different partitions)...connectivity speed through vista is more than 100mbs...

what could be the reason for the slow connectivity via kubuntu??

konqueror is stalling...kind of stuck in thinking mode...
