Can't print from Okular or Konqueror

Hi all,

I seem to be having a problem printing documents from Okular (PDF viewer) and also from Konqueror. I seem to be able to do this from other applications.



I see the printer icon appear in my system tray, but then it just waits a while and says that my printer may not be connected. My printer is a HP Officejet 5610 if that is of any relevance.

I need to know if there is a simple solution to this problem, or is it better to simply use a different PDF viewer and avoid Konqueror?

Same problem with me. Samsung ML1610. Open Office printing works, but not with Okular, Konqueror, Firefox. With "lynx localhost:631" there is no job for the requested printings.

Edit: I found a workaround: Open a bash console, type in:

lp -d your_printer your_file

If there is an option directly in the program (e. g. Okular) - it would be great!
