Empty Trash (SOLVED)

I have emptied the trash can on my desktop but when I try to delete more files I get a message telling me I must manually empty the trash can as it is full.
Could anyone please tell me where I do this?

Right Click on the Desktop Background, Add Widget, Trash, and then empty can from there. Does that work?

Great! You can also add the trash can to the panel, and keep it there to keep an eye on the trash folder! Thanks for your kind words

I don't use the trash can anymore. I just SHIFT DELETE. It's nailed me a few times in the last year or so, but . . . I guess that's my choice.
