I am trying to get my computer to be a website server I have apache 2 installed php5 and the php mysql package I can get the index file when I type in localhost in the address bar but when I type in my Ip address or the address from dyndns it does not work. Does anybody know where I went wrong.

How is your computer attached to the internet ? You probably need to 'port forward' port 80 (http) from your ADSL router to your computer.
However, understand the security implications of the internet being able to get at your machine. For instance, make sure it is configured for unattended updates. -
