<SOLVED> Sound is distorted

I can play mp3 files locally with no problem but anything on the internet and games are pure distortion. Any clues on how to fix this?

No. But isn't mp3 a restricted format? I can play it just fine. It's games and stuff from the internet youtube, pandora, shoutcast etc that are pure distortion or noise.

Well, it's up to you. You may have partial support for some of the restricted formats, and that _might_ be the issue.

Sounds like you may not have flash or the multimedia plugins installed -- check #9 on the FAQs in my signature.

MUCH quieter than the local files but it works.
