    Is there a GUI application listing system information?

    I remember having used an app in KDE3 listing all system hardware components/devices info but I cannot find it in kde4. Could you suggestion an app? Thanks!

    You might want to look here. Rog has suggested few in this post.

    There are few more in the next post by marcopl
    Next i tried lshw. Now surprise surprise. lshw has a gtk front end . we have to install package lshw-gtk and execute 'sudo lshw -X' . another useful command is lshw -short.

    the interface is a little clunky but ok. a reasonable gui hwbrowser..... !!! at last !!!
    Cheers!!

      On Hardy 8.04 it is KInfoCenter

      K Menu -> System -> Info Center

      or

      ALT+F2 -> kinfocenter

      Hopefully it's still there in Jaunty.

        Unfortunately, it's not. I think it got left out in Intrepid. It's not in Karmic either, yet.
