USB modem stick and JJ?

I want to get a usb modem stick (Huawei e160, option icon 451 or modem e180v) for my little toshiba and my friends hp notebooks both running JJ kde4.2.X

I have been reading that there have been some issues with JJ.

Has anyone gotten these to work stabily?

The huawei brand is quite a popular brand and they r easily recognized by the new kernels.

the issue will be connecting to yr provider.

wvdial comes in handy here. the settings in the conf file may have to be tweaked a little....
