Pidgin icon not displaying

Hi all,

I have the probelm that the icon in the system try does not display for pidgin.

Pidgin is set to always display the icon under Preferences. Sometime I get a black square like in the snapshot, other time it takes the same icon as amarok or skype

Any ideas
