Google Earth 5 not displaying properly

I have installed Google Earth 5 on Jaunty with Kde 4.2.4 with no problems. Currently, Desktop effects are disabled (but the problem was exactly the same with them enabled) and Googleearth does not display properly. I attach a screen capture.
As you see, the top left end seems to be working fine, but it is not so for the main window! As said, the same happened with Desktop effects enabled effectively.
Any idea or anyone experiencing this before?

    Thanks in advance

What video card do you have? How much system memory and how much video memory?

    Try http://kubuntuforums.net/forums/inde...opic=3099811.0 numbers 7 and 9.

Re: Google Earth 5 not displaying properly [PARTIALLY SOLVED]

It seems to be a problem of incompatibility between Google Earth and UXA acceleration.
Without the last my Intel 855GM does not work properly with the 3D effects and the graphical candies, but with UXA enabled it works very well. So, if I want to run the 3D effects I have to switch on UXA acceleration, if I want to use Google Earth 5 I have to change the UXA to EXA and reboot. A bit annoying but for the time being I can live with that.
I have shared memory (do not remember how much) on the video card, as most intel do. Given my 2Gb ram, I suspect it could be 128? Not sure though.

Is there another way I could move around the settings to have both working?
Or, even better, an idea to solve both (i.e. UXA + GoogleEarth?)
      Thanks
