    [Solved] Duplicate Notifications

    I recently upgraded from intrepid to jaunty, and now I have duplicate notifications. It seems to only be related to power, but it could be other things I haven't noticed as well.

    I've poked around in the settings but I haven't been able to figure out how to get rid of that old notification (the white one).

    eMachines E520 notebook, 2ghz celeron, 3gb RAM, 160gb HDD, etc... woot.com special with no Microsoft tax running Kubuntu 9.04 beautifully

    It looks like the old kubuntu power manager is still installed. I had a thread a while back that showed how to remove it, but don't have a link handy...if you do a search on the forum it shouldn't be too hard to find...

        sudo apt-get remove guidance-power-manager

        that did it!
