problem accessing ext3 fs from windows

Not sure if this is the right place to ask...

I recently installed 9.04 to a new machine that dual boots w/ winXP. The /home directory is on sda2 (separate from /), which was formatted as ext3.

On the XP side, I have tried using explore2fs and DiskInternals Linux Reader to read the /home partition. Both programs see the partition (as well as several other ext3 partitions), but none of the files are listed so I have no access to my ext3 files.

I do not want to install the Ext2 installable file system since I don't want XP to have write access to /home.

Is there something in my ext3 configuration that is blocking explore2fs from seeing files? How do I fix this?
