SOLVED: Task Bar, active apps list gone

When I tried a right mouse click and "close" on an active app from the task bar, I inadvertently removed the whole whatever that lists all the windows. Now I cannot find how to get it back. Any help would be appreciated.

It wasn't listed as "task bar" or "task manager", but I stumbled upon it while doing something else. Go figure.

This is one major problem for all computing systems, the disparity of terms to identify the same thing. I can understand it across distros, but within a distro there should be a dictionary of acceptable terms that is checked (could be via spell check) so everyone is not only on the same page, but using the same word.

    Yep that can happen

Right click on the panel (unlock widgets if locked) ->add widgets->choose taskbar from the widgets window->add.

    Thats it.

That's the problem, there is no "task bar" on the list of widgets. A search of the hd reveals all of the other applets available, but no "task bar" or "task manager".

Just in case you looked specifically for "task bar", I think what you're looking for is "task manager". My widget list didn't have what was suggested either.
