    smb4k problem

Recently installed jaunty on a new machine which is part of a corporate AD network. W/ Intrepid on another machine, I had no problem getting smb4k (v0.9.?) to mount network drives (after asking for my network username and password) or using the smb:// protocol in konqueror (it also asked for username and password).

W/ Jaunty trying to connect to the same network w/ smb4k (v 0.10.2) drives is met with:

The share :<//server/share"> could not be mounted.
Read the error message under "Details" to find out more.

    Details
    mount error(13): Permission denied
Refer to the mount.cifs manual page (e.g.man mount.cifs)

Nevertheless, the smb:// protocol connection still works.

Any idea what's going on? Is this a config (wth what?) or an smb4K problem?
    Thoughts on alternatives?
    Paul
