Okay, I have been looking for a software solution for Kubuntu which can record my desktop with sound.
In Windows Camstudio performs pretty well. I thought this should be a piece of cake in Kubuntu.
I am not satisfied with Recordmydesktop because of the clipping audio. I have tried different quality and compression settings.
Xvidcap suprised me very much with it's very good video performance. The only thing is the audio, it doesn't work?
Xvidcap message:
I can't compile xvidcap from source because of different strange dependencies.
I am running 64 bit and think it could be the problem.
I will try to repartition my drive and install Kubuntu 8.04 32 bit and test Xvidcap from there.
Any thoughts?
