hi, even after disabling from the kde control panel the desktop effects, kpowersave seems unable to calibrate the CPU speed as good as it did with K 8.04 and KDE3. i have AMD64x2 6000+ (3100 Mhz max, 3200 with ram boost but i disabled it) on an Asrock N61P-S MB and after the upgrade to Kubuntu 9.04 even setting the "dynamic" mode, the cpu is stable at 3100 Mhz, with temps about 55-58° Celsius. Choosing powersave mode it calibrates down to 1000 Mhz but this way one has to throttle manually the CPU each time that extra power computing is needed. Any solution?
