Konsole doesn't remember profile menu visibility

I cannot get Konsole to remember the menu visibility of the profiles I configure. I go to Settings/Manage Profiles..., then check 'Show in Menu' for all the profiles I want to have quick links to under the File menu. They show up, but the next time I boot, they are no longer visible, and I have to repeat the process all over again. I use this application more than any other, so needless to say, this is getting very frustrating.

I have tried completely clearing the ~/.kde/share/apps/konsole directory, and set everything up from scratch. After doing so, the menu visibility of _one_ of my custom profiles, in addition to the default 'Shell' profile, is remembered between boots. I cannot see any difference between the configuration file for the profile that is remembered vs. any of my other profiles, other than the obvious difference in setup (ssh'ing to various hosts and running screen). There must be a file somewhere that saves, or is supposed to save, the desired state of the menu, but I can't find it anywhere. Grrr.

    Any ideas out there?

Replying to my own post, hoping to raise it's profile so I get an answer. Meanwhile, Konsole has developed another problem: the keyboard shortcut to close a tab (Ctrl+Shift W) no longer works.

Figured out the Ctrl-Shift-W thing anyway. It conflicts w/ a shortcut used by Kopete. Would be nice if KDE had consistent shortcut conventions across it's own applications...
