kde 4.2.3

I thought KDE 4.2.3 had kwin improvements that updated to kwin 4.2.3 but it's in the package manager as installable should I install it or is there a way to check to the version I currently have running.

To check which version your are using right now, just open any native KDE app ( eg, kopete, konquer,kpackagekit,kmail,etc..)
So in Kopete ( or any other ) click help ( at the top ) then go to "about kde" right above the dragons head should be a current version number.
