    BAD Kernel

I installed a vanilla kernel to my kubuntu machine and now it is not working. everytime I start that kernel it goes into kernel panic. Now, I always have to open grub by pressing ESC key and then choose another kernel to boot my machine. Is there a way to get rid of the bad kernel? Please let me know.

Why don't you just Alt-F2 "kdesudo kate /boot/grub/menu.lst" and comment out the lines with the bad kernel? Save it and you won't see it on menu on the next boot.

I thought about it, but I just wanted to find out if I can do it the other way.
