Add and Remove Software - System Settings

First, yes I did search for help on this topic. Yes, I am a newbie to Kubuntu. So, I've got a fresh install of Jaunty and when I try refresh the package list I get this error: Message did not receive a reply (timeout by message bus)

I have tried switching servers thinking it might be something with the update server. No luck.

What to do at this point?

Hi, sorry for being late.

I had the same error. I edited /etc/apt/source.list and delete some lines of repositories I had introduce few time ago. I also delete some empty line I found.

I also are quite newbie, and don't know exactly what was wrong and what I did, but it worked.
