    Problems with remote

I have a laptop with Kubuntu 9.04 (KDE 4.2.3), nVidia 180 driver (Dell XPS M1210) that I am trying to use to connect to a Ubuntu Server 9.04 where I have added KDE 4.2.3.

The server announces the remote connection so I can see it when I search from the laptop. And it connects fine. BUT - I am not able to control the server. I get a distorted picture and no mouse arrow. I can turn on the local mouse marker, but it does not help. There is no reaction.

The server has an ati graphics card (an old IBM ThinkPad A30P). I am setting it up as a LAN connection to get the best possible quality.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Re: Problems with remote

I have a friends PC in here and setting up kubuntu for her. To avoid running back and forth, I wanted to use remote desktop to control it during post install.

But I got the same problem as before. I have still not been able to remote control another Kubuntu 9.04 based computer.

    Has anyone done this?
