I had installed samba to share files with windows i run this in tirminal
    sudo apt-get install samba samba-tools system-config-samba

then I added my user to sambashare groub

but now when I try to run samba from Kmenu-system-Samba it didnt run even after i restart the system
when i checked the menu editor i found the command was gksu run system-config-samba. I changed it to kdesu ------- but the same problem.

For virtualbox have you installed build-essential? Virtualbox needs to build and start it's driver before it will work. You also need to rebuild the driver when the kernel is updated

ok I solved the virtualbox problem. all what I did is right clicked on vb.deb and select open with Gdeb Package installer. befor it was running with kpackagekit which gave me the error

now anyone solved th samba problem?? i want to have gui to configurre samba and select sharing folder
