Menu lost application icons (Kickoff and Lancelot)

I had a problem with today's update and had to kill power to my laptop because it hung during the update process.
After rebooting and fixing, my menus have lost all of their application icons, except for favourites, computer, recently used, and leave.
Typing the name in the search bar doesn't help either.

I have also tried the lancelot plasma, which suffers the same issue.

Same problem here with new KDE 4.2.3
How does one rebuild the menu? Tried deleting menu items from the .config files. No luck

It's not just the menu. The system does not seem to be able to auto launch applications.

I have to manually enter the path to the application every time.

I am not sure, if it helps, but you can try this:
1. Press Ctrl+Esc, kill plasma, screen will be black
2. Press Alt+F2. It will launch KRunner, run Dolphin and delete .kde directory in your home. System will create the new one.
3. Run plasma from KRunner.
You will get fresh display like after upgrade to the new version and you will lose some settings, if you have done some.

If you lost only Lancelot Part, you can Add Widget - Folder View, drag Desktop folder out of that widget and chose make Lancelot Part from it.

I lost all my theming, but... I've got my menu back!!!!
