Kubuntu 8.10 Intrepid touchpad doesn't work

Hi everybody,

I have done an linux update proposed by the system on my Acer laptop and after that the touchpad stopped working, before it had worked perfectly.
Do you have any idea to adjust the problem ??

xserver-xorg-input-synaptics

Is the touchpad driver installed above , you will need it for the touchpad to work. Also, it needs to be loaded in the module section in /etc/X11/xorg.conf:

something like: load "synaptics" it's after the fonts section.

and in the section for PS/2 mouse the driver should be "synaptics".
