Logout button in application launcher results in shutdown

Hello all -

An odd thing occurred after the update. Now if I click "logout" under the "leave" menu in the application launcher the computer shuts down. It doesn't crash or anything, just shuts down as if I had chosen shutdown from the menu. Is there a configuration file that controls these options? Any idea how this could be occurring?
