    Akregator got too much...

I follow a lot of RSS feeds (300+) and I like to keep the reader in the background so I get the messages as they roll in.

The best reader in Kubuntu so far has been RSSOwl. I have it set up with all of my feeds, but I would like to really try out Akregator to see how it handles the load.

So I exported the feeds as an OPML from RSSOwl. No problem at all. Then I fired up Kontact as I wanted to see all things integrated. When I went to File>Import in Akregator, the program kinda froze. I thought I better wait a while and see what happens. After some minutes(!) I got a dialogue box that was blank in the beginning, but after a few minutes it appeared with the question if it should create a new folder for the imported feeds. And as I click Ok, the whole thing crashes. I try again and it crashes again. many times. Then I get the idea to start Akregator without going through Kontact. This time I am able to import the feeds. I can even reorganize the folders etc. So I think this is great. Time to test it through Kontact again. Open, click on the Akgragot icon. Crash.

I managed to open it a second time and it started updating. And crashed again. And now it crashes even before I can see a window.

Is there a way to empty the feedlist without getting into the program? Have anyone else successfully used it on a big number of feeds?
