Lost default clock on pane and installed digital clock from widgets, now2 small

Some how whilst configuring my desktop I lost the digital clock on the bottom panel.
I installed the digital clock from widgets, I now have a digital clock, but it's too small. How can I make the font bigger? In the digital clock settings it only shows font types but not font size. Stretching the width of the bottom panel bar height didn't make anything bigger except the panel

What happens when you (de)select the date?

When I de select the date, the date disappears and I'm left with a time that was as small as it was before I de selected the date
